The Karman Ultralight Folding Transport Chair challenges the conventional standards of wheelchairs with its dynamic, innovative design.

The forward thinking elliptical frame combines style with functionality, improving both aesthetics and structural integrity. In addition to it’s unique elliptical frame, the ultralight aircraft grade aluminum design provides excellent maneuverability and is equipped with several ergonomic features to aid both the attendant and the user in their daily activities including a patented swing away footrest design and a weight of only 28 lbs with footrests.

The Karman Ultralightweight Transport Wheelchair is easy to lift and its small size makes it ideal for travel. Weighing only 28 lbs., the chair is easy to store and transport. The chair folds down the middle like a standard wheelchair and the backrest also folds down to make the wheelchair even more compact. The swing away fixed footrests feature heel loops for added comfort.

Ergonomic Handrim - The patented ergonomic hand-rims enhance comfort, flexibility and mobility, making it effortless to propel the wheelchair. Traditional push rims do not have this for the sake of an inexpensive design. Our S-ERGO series feature not only a grip, but a unique texture on the handle itself for, you guessed it, comfort and functionality in allowing for maximum grip for self propulsion yet comfortable enough for use all day, everyday.

Swing-Away Footrest - Swing-away and height adjustable footrests with heel loop footplates. With a simple two step process: lift and swivel, these footrests are designed to quickly move to ease transfer into and out of the wheelchair. The height adjustable footplate allows more comfort for the user.
